Farm Dance and Potluck
A fundraising benefit for Soil Born Farm Urban Agriculture Project
Sacramento's organic farm and education center
WHEN: Saturday, June 25, 2005
1:00 - 11:00 p.m.
WHERE: Goethe Ranch in Rancho Cordova
2140 Chase Drive
(near the entrance to Hagan Community Park)
WHAT: Family Fun, Potluck, & Contra/Big Circle Dance
Family Activities: 1 – 5 p.m.
Nature walks, farm tours, music, tractor rides, bio-diesel and sustainable living demonstrations, arts and crafts, and more! Open mic - bring your instruments.
Potluck & BBQ: 5 – 6:30 p.m.
Bring a dish (preferably organic, non-genetically engineered, locally produced). Free raffle ticket to everyone who brings their own dishware!
Dance: 6:30 – 11 p.m.
Lively acoustic music featuring local musicians.
Suggested Donation: Adults - $10 to $25; Children 12 to 18 - $5;
Children under 12 - free
(No one turned away for lack of funds.)
Use of alternative transportation is appreciated. Please carpool, take public transportation, or bike from the nearby bike trail, if you can.
