The Kickoff was well attended by a diverse crowd of about 300 people. There were farm workers, community members, religious leaders and communities of faith, students, workers from a variety of local unions, etc.

Dogs tracked both Petersons
Modesto police Detective Al Brocchini at one point called off a search even though a bloodhound named Merlin appeared to be following Laci Peterson's scent, the dog's handler testified Tuesday.
The dog followed a trail on Santa Barbara Avenue to La Loma Avenue to Yosemite Boulevard to Santa Rosa Avenue, where the dog stopped at the E.&J. Gallo Winery property.
Near the intersection of Yosemite and Santa Rosa, the dog's pull on his harness -- an indication of the strength of the scent -- began to wane, Valentin said.
The dog went up to the Gallo gates, Valentin said, and she asked permission to enter and continue the search.
"You have no way of knowing on this Earth that the scent picked up was Laci Peterson, do you?" Harris asked. "Do you have any evidence you would like to share with this court that Laci Peterson was at the Gallo winery?" Valentin did not.

Detective Brochinni stopped it! Scott Peterson got pissed because Brochinni forced the dogs to go elsewhere. The answers to Laci’s disappearance were behind those gates!!!
