This discussion-based class is designed to understand and critique society as a whole. Looks at anomalies of our mainstream worldview and seeks to explore alternative understandings. It seeks to connect theory and reality and action and thought. Finally we explore theories of social change. There is a choice of a couple readings for each class. We will meet once to set the stage, We will than wait one week. Then, we will meet for one hour on ten straight weeknights. This course has been tried at UC Berkeley and is being refined to enable all students of the course to facilitate this course upon completion. Additionally, it is being tried in progressive enclaves in a farm in Oregon, and potentially in Santa Cruz with the potential to spread consciousness, community and liberation horizontally.
This class is part of a Free School that has recently started in the East Bay.
All classes are DROP-IN FRIENDLY. For a COMPLETE CLASS CALENDAR (we have over 25 classes for this summer) and MORE INFORMATION on the free school, please visit:
