WHO - USS San Francisco CA-38 Cruiser WW II veterans and public.
WHAT - USS San Francisco Memorial Day Ceremony.
Guest Speaker: Assemblyman Leland Yee.
Featured Speaker: Cmdr. Kevin G. Mooney, USS San Francisco SSN-711 nuclear submarine that made world press in January 2005; and 60 Minutes Wednesday edition on May 18, 2005.
WHEN - Sunday May 29th, (day before celebrated Monday federal holiday) 1200 HOURS military time, or 12 noon sharp civilian time.
WHERE - USS San Francisco Memorial, Land's End. (end of Geary Street at Fort Miley) Please see map directly below.

WHY - One of the last full gatherings of the men from the CA-38 which received 17 battle stars in WW II; which Tokyo Rose often said was sunk. In addition, come here about the heroic crew of the USS San Francisco submarine. Everyone is welcome, please attend.
