9:45 A.M.
Today, the State Senate and Assembly Judiciary Committees will hear two
Constitutional Amendments sponsored by the Traditional Values Coalition that would
repeal all rights for LGBT people and their families by enshrining discrimination in
our state constitution. Standing up to Lou Sheldon's attack, we will have two
articulate families join Equality California's Executive Director, Geoff Kors, in
speaking to the tremendous harm these amendments will cause our community.
Assembly Constitutional Amendment 3, by Assemblymember Ray Haynes (R-Temecula) will
be heard at 11 A.M. and Senate Constitutional Amendment 1, by Senator Bill Morrow
(R-Oceanside) will be heard at 2:30 P.M.
