Five Bay Area writers--K.M. Soehnlein, Catherine Brady, John A. Vlahides, Elizabeth Costello, and David Booth-- read from their work to benefit IPAS, an organization working throughout the world to counsel women on reproductive health. Because IPAS refused to sign the Bush Administration's Global Gag Rule on abortion counseling, the organization relies entirely on donations from events like this one.
