4/18: SWEATFREE SF ACTION DAY

Dear Anti-Sweatshop Activists of the Bay Area,

Now is the time to put democracy into action. In the final hours before the
sweatfree legislation is introduced, we invite you all to let your
Supervisors know - in person - how important it is to have a STRONG piece of
legislation to really make a difference in workers' lives.

Come to Sweatfree SF Action Day this Monday, April 18! All the information

Monday, April 18th, 10am ­ 1pm
City Hall, San Francisco (Meet on front steps, Polk Street)

Let our City leaders know it¹s time to end taxpayer dollars for sweatshops!

Be a part of history and help the cause of worker rights around the world!
Join the members of the Bay Area Sweatfree Coalition as we push City Hall to
pass the nation¹s strongest sweatshop-free legislation, which would prevent
the City and County government from purchasing goods produced in sweatshops.
NO LOBBYING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Now's your chance to learn - we will
provide all the training and materials!

On Sweatfree Lobby Day constituents from every district, and members of
organizations from across SF the Bay Area, will meet with Mayor Newsom and
each member of the Board of Supervisors. We¹ll prove to them that the
people of San Francisco want to take the lead in fighting sweatshops and
spark a sweatfree movement that will spread to cities, counties, and schools
across the Bay Area.
