Please come and participate in the second of an ongoing conversation addressing critical issues related to feminism (past, present and future), and to sex, gender, and gender identity oppression. Our hope is to form an inclusive coalition that is respectful of multiple locations and committed to ongoing dialogue and action that both celebrates and challenges notions of "woman" and feminism in general.
On International Women's Day, 2005 we launched "Voices in Motion: Conversations Across a Feminist Landscape" with a gathering that brought together panelists and participants from multiple locations: across continents and classes; spanning sexualities, generations and cultures; with varied gender identities, ethnic identities, and races, but with one reason to come together: to begin a conversation about who we are, where we want to go, and how to get there.
This meeting is intended as both a continuation of the conversation we began on International Women's Day and as a reaching beyond in the hopes of forming a Bay Area coalition.
Please invite friends and allies.
All sexes, genders, gender identities, and gender expressions are welcome.
This event is wheelchair accessible.
