American Indians have experienced more than 500 years of exploitation, cultural assimilation and genocidal wars through the advent of European colonization and corporate expansionism. Today this conflict continues through the institutions of our communities and government. A method of attacking from subtle, yet devastating perspectives constitutes a level of low intensity combat wrought out by a racist, imperialist state and D-Q University is one of the fronts in the war against America’s indigenous people. A small, Inter-tribal school situated in the farmland south of UC Davis, D-Q University has been forced to subside as a result of this historical war. Denial of proper funds from the Bureau of Indian Affairs as a result from the corruption of D-Q’s former administration, involving conniving deals with the Bureau of Land Management and the Texas oil corporation, Opex Oil, has officially shut down the school which is one of the only opportunities young Native Americans from impoverished backgrounds have to a hopeful future. By the determined spirit of their cultural heritage D-Q’s students refuse to die! In an act of resistance to corruption and conniving business practices the remote school has been occupied by students as a tactic to force the reopening of D-Q and continue the struggle of reclamation for Native American people. Support in solidarity from Northern California communities is crucial to the success of the resistance D-Q students have taken up against the war on indigenous people. Show that you stand against corporate America's racist war by participating in the struggle of D-Q students!
