Tickets are $20 for open seating, and $50 for a special wine and dessert reception with Fisk that includes the lecture and priority seating. For info, 510-548-0542, http://www.mecaforpeace.org. This is a benefit for the Middle East Children's Alliance; no one turned away for lack of funds. Wheelchair accessible and ASL interpreted.

Robert Fisk is a 6-time winner of the Foreign Correspondent of the Year Award; he writes for The Independent of London, Znet and The Nation.
