ACORN LEADERS ARE ISSUING A CHALLENGE TO ARNOLD AND SENATOR PERATA:
BE BOLD ENOUGH TO PUT CHILDREN BEFORE POLITICS!

Friday, April 1st, 4PM at the State Building, 1515 Clay Steet in Downtown Oakland

ACORN has collected OVER 20,000 letters from constituents of Senate District 9 demanding that State officials defend Proposition 98 funding in the State of California!!!!

ACORN members and allies have been visiting Senator Don Perata's District Office every Friday for the past month to deliver the letters and let them know what the community feels about this situation.
ON APRIL 1ST, DON'T BE FOOLED BY STATE POLITICS!

On April 1, 2005 we are inviting all of our friends and allies to join ACORN Leaders as they keep up the pressure and stand up for Kids!

We will be going down to 1515 Clay St. this Friday 4pm to deliver the of the 20,000 letters that have been signed by residents within District 9! ACORN Leaders feel that WE CANNOT STOP NOW! SO JOIN US THIS FRIDAY!



Oakland ACORN was established in 1986. In its 19 year history ACORN members have helped to win scores of reforms within the City including establishing a Living Wage, increased protections against Predatory Lending, reopening Woodland Elementary School and a series of neighborhood victories that have led to improvements throughout the City.
