there are more pictures around. This was absolutely wonderful. There were thousands of people, and lots of faces you might see once or twice a year, and it was pretty much 100% absent of conflict. This wouldn't be notable except there were a few right-wing blogs where they actually were discussing coming to 'freep', however you may interpret this word. But there was none of that. The primitivists signed up for a table ahead of time so there was no dismay. Lots of toddlers, not too many dogs.
More pictures where? Links please.

I bet Z took a lot of pictures and uploaded the best. Here are some of mine. I didn't get any of speakers Chris Carlsson, sunfrog or Lynn Breedlove, and I don't necessarily want to put close up pictures of nonpublic citizens here.

This is the cluster of minglers on the lawn outside talking because it was crowded inside.

This is that cluster of people who have performed at various events as the 'Goblins', with a Three Penny Opera sound. Several of them are really proficient on accordion or violin.
hey Z got more?
I didn't take many pictures of the fair aside from speakers and a few pictures of the building. While this was a public event it wasnt a protest where people expect to have their picture taken with it being displayed in public so it seemed best to not take too many pictures of tables or of crowds near tables without asking. It is nice to have pictures of an event to show how many people were there and so you can refer back to it when advertising the event in future years, but Im not sure why people would really want more pictures. Is there some speaker you want pictures of or some groups table?
curious about the various tables - who was tabling, who turned out, looks like was a great crowd. thanks for posting what you have.
AK had a big table as did Left Bank Books. Aside from those two huge tables it was small book sellers, various Anarchist groups and single issue groups (bikes, haiti, animal rights). The crowd out front was pretty counter culturish (punks, people playing accordians,...). The crowd listening to speakers included many people who were dressed more normally and included more people over 30.
Aside from Anarchists, the RCP had a big stand outside and the Sparts also were there trying to sell their paper. One of the RCP people I talked to said they got hit with water ballons but said they understood why since they understand that people are worried about the RCP's potential silencing of dissent after a Revolution. No sure if this was a personal opinion or an offical change in their party's opinion.
In terms of taking pictures to show who was there, the main thing I would be worried about would be taking pictures of the various stands for groups that tend to mask up at protests. If people expect the bokfair to be a safe space they probably dont expect their picture to be taken with it being put on the internet for everyone to see. Aside from legitimate concerns its never fun to take pictures at an event where people are going to mistrust your intentions for taking pictures.

um, we've been trying to triangulate who he is, which should be possible because if we are all taking pictures of each other, he is going to be in some of them. And everyone should be aware of him, because he's been there literally in the armpits of protesters, sometimes when police incidents break out - and his camera is far better than most of ours. I'm not capable of taking an incriminating photo of someone burning a flag or whatever, but he can do night photography etc.
