Ward: I admit I killed JFK
Ward Churchill spoke at the annual anarchist bookfair on March 26, 2005 in golden gate park, San Francisco. He has no relation to Frank Chiu in the picture, who had the 12 Galaxies bar in the Mission Dist named after him, and is a common halloween costume.
There was a lot of noise to the side where many happy attendees were mingling, and there were areas with hippies, hip hop, punk, circus gypsies playing accordions and violins and doing tricks, plus people selling items - so this is audible if you turn the sound up, and most audible at the end.

In this recording, a man from a Sierra foothills radio station interviewed him for a show, and I was in the vicinity so I made a voice recording of this interview. Unfortunately, a 4 minute chunk of this mysteriously ended up garbled after the first two minutes when I accidentally pressed record later on when it was in my pocket. He covers Churchill's latest situation at the university, where he seems to say that he is not interested in a buyout agreement, and will not apologize for anything, and that he has solid support among academics and also many indians. Churchill also admits to shooting JFK in Dallas.
At the end, I was able to ask a question I had been interested in regarding criticism of his footnote in an essay on another topic which appeared to back up his claim that the U.S. gov't intentionally wished the Mandan tribe of North Dakota to catch and spread deadly smallpox.
I interpret a piece by Diane Pearson as demonstrating this fact, citing primary sources such as memos and papers by Bureau of Indian affairs or Dept. of War heads which stated that the Mandan tribe were not to receive a smallpox vaccine which had been scheduled to be given to other east coast tribes who they viewed as cooperative, such as the Creeks and Cherokees who were removed to Oklahoma a few years later. The Mandan were viewed as an aggressive tribe which would not sign over their land for fur trapping and agriculture.
So what I was asking, was why Churchill cited John Thornton who didn't write about this aspect of history and instead talked about the general dates of events and number of people present . Churchill is under investigation by the university of Colorado for this footnote, and the media is spinning this by saying that the idea of smallpox blankets was an invention, and there have been stories getting the whole concept wrong - such as saying that Ward Churchill was referring to mexicans, and not mandans, and Ann Coulter claimed here that people only understood vaccines in the 1900s and later, which is incorrect - people have been inoculating against smallpox since centuries which is why indians died in high numbers while the people in east coast cities were not dying in high numbers. In a second column, Coulter was using slurs such as "injun" and said "hey kemosabe, time to pack up the teepee and hit the trail of tears".
That's just a quick explanation of why this question was asked at the end.

It is amazing anyone would listen to a profoundly stupid idiot like Ward Churchill. Apparently, his followers, like Ward Churchill, did not ask the obvious question when they watched the 9/11 Reichstag Fire on TV:

Since there was no air defense, either the president, vice-president or secretary of war told them to stand down, proving this was an inside job. The president's idiot face while sitting in his brother's fiefdom of Florida, reading a goat story, should certainly have been a tip-off that this was an inside job. We now have videos and eyewitness statements proving beyond all doubt that this was a Reichstag Fire, perpetrated for the same reasons the Nazis burned their government building, the Reichstag: To promote fascism at home and war abroad so as to maximize the profits of the capitalist class.
Churchill should keep his job until he is eligible for a pension, and he should then retire.
As to the racism that exists toward Native Americans, that is nothing new, unfortunately, and will not change so long as we have capitalism.
Meanwhile, everyone should do their homework. We know now, having read Michael Ruppert's Crossing the Rubicon, that
--Dick Cheney directed the 9/11 Mass Murder;
--that 9 of the so-called hijackers are alive;
--that the planes were on automatic pilot guided by the US military; that the Twin Towers and Building 7, which was not hit by a plane, were brought down by construction explosives not only because we have eyewitness accounts and videos, but because the chief lessor of Building 7, Larry Silverstein, stated on PBS that Building 7 was brought down by construction explosives;
--that the Towers were shut down the weekend before supposedly to be rewired for computer upgrades;
--that the Towers and Building 7 were brought down in seconds, with no resistance, with explosions occurring outward, with a base that was searing hot; and with the building broken into neat pieces that could easily be carted away on a truck immediately, which they were, thus removing the evidence;

--that the plane that flew over Pennesylvania was shot down by the US military.

The US government had the motive, means and opportunity. No workingclass people's organization has the motive, means or opportunity to perpetrate such a heinous crime. This was the CIA's Operation Northwoods realized, a 1962 plan of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to destroy a US airplane and blame Cuba so as to have an excuse to invade Cuba.

Maybe I'm not following you here. Please explain a bit more about that book and how it says Eichmann killed nazi victims. It seems like Ward clarified himself several times with what he meant about Eichmann. He said Eichmann was an administrator (as stated in the paragraph above) who never directly pulled a trigger or moved a switch to kill political/ethnic/gay state enemies. Rather, he spent his day arranging the finance, specific plans, and timing which permitted foot soldiers to do these things. He then expanded on the topic by saying that 'little Eichmanns' are people who also do administrative and technical work which facilitates armies and gunmen in other locations to kill people. In Germany, this would be the people who provided money for the nazi party such as companies which expected to profit, or ran ammunition plants, drove trains, etc. Then he said that the modern day equivalent would be people, for instance, providing finance in the stock market for companies known to cause many deaths overseas - for instance, he could pick Unocal oil in Burma where the authoritarian regime uses their money to pay for an army which demands slave labor out of peasants and has shot thousands of opposition. A similar scenario takes place with Shell Oil in the Nigerian delta, and something similar in Ecuador, Columbia and the like. A finance agent for the company located in another country could easily say "I've never killed anyone - it's that army overseas, and we can't prevent what they're doing over there locally. my hands are clean, and I'm a good person". Even though - people wouldn't be being killed in Nigeria if the oil company weren't paying for the corruption of the gov't there.

What is true now folks? Socialist, the Reichstag fire was started by a Dutch council communist. It was not started by the Nazis. Seriously dude, you need to read a bit more history. Next time try a book written by a real historian instead of those leftist rags.
It's a matter of controversy. The dutchman Marinus van der Lubbe had it pinned on him and was executed by the National socialist government, however, it's not nearly so simple. Walther Hofer wrote a book analyzing the evidence and information available and his work largely implicates the SS under the Nazis as having set the fire. I don't know why you'd expect a fair trial and reporting of the incident in germany of 1933. Plus, the most important part was what the nazi government did during the following week. They suspended civil liberties and Hindenburg was put out of the government. Dutch communists had nothing to benefit from the fire, while Hitler's government had everything to gain.
For those of you who have no memory of the 1961 trial of Adolf Eichmann, which this writer and certainly Ward Churchill are old enough to remember, being the First Generation After The Holocaust and World War 2, as it was broadcast daily on radio and TV and in the daily newspapers, you can search the Internet to learn of Eichmann's role in the Holocaust, the deliberate murder with malice aforethought of 6 million of the 9 million Jews of Europe, the center of world Jewish population at that time.

The workingclass of the United States, including all of the workers at the World Trade Center, including but not limited to the janitors, restaurant workers, stationary engineers, secretaries, telephone operators, retail clerks, file clerks, word processors, number processors, bookkeepers, photocopy clerks, computer specialists, firefighters, building maintenance personnel, and everyone else who worked for a living, cannot possibly be compared to Adolf Eichmann.
Ward Churchill states that everyone in this country is guilty of being complicit in the crimes of the capitalist class of this country, presumably including himself. If everyone is guilty, then by definition, no one is guilty. Of course, not everyone is guilty. It is the capitalist class that is guilty of crimes against humanity and it is the capitalist class that must be opposed, which only labor can do.
Ward Churchill claims to be a professor, an educated man. He not only heard the history of World War 2 in his home as his parents' generation was the World War 2 generation, he heard about it daily on the radio, on TV and in the newspapers. Furthermore, as a professor of liberal arts, he has to have read a great deal of history, and he must have better than average writing skills.
This "little Eichmann" phrase is a viciously reactionary analogy by a profoundly disturbed person. He is clearly in need of anger management and should be given his pension as soon as possible. Until then, he will have to remain on the job.
Ward Churchill offers no solution. Instead, he engages in name-calling of the victims of capitalism, including this horrifying attack by the Bush Administration on the workers at the World Trade Center, and in so doing, supports Bush's Big Lie that some outside force attacked the US on 9/11/01 when it was clearly an inside job.

The workingclass of the United States, including all of the workers at the World Trade Center, including but not limited to the janitors, restaurant workers, stationary engineers, secretaries, telephone operators, retail clerks, file clerks, word processors, number processors, bookkeepers, photocopy clerks, computer specialists, firefighters, building maintenance personnel, and everyone else who worked for a living, cannot possibly be compared to Adolf Eichmann.
Ward Churchill states that everyone in this country is guilty of being complicit in the crimes of the capitalist class of this country, presumably including himself. If everyone is guilty, then by definition, no one is guilty. Of course, not everyone is guilty. It is the capitalist class that is guilty of crimes against humanity and it is the capitalist class that must be opposed, which only labor can do.
Ward Churchill claims to be a professor, an educated man. He not only heard the history of World War 2 in his home as his parents' generation was the World War 2 generation, he heard about it daily on the radio, on TV and in the newspapers. Furthermore, as a professor of liberal arts, he has to have read a great deal of history, and he must have better than average writing skills.
This "little Eichmann" phrase is a viciously reactionary analogy by a profoundly disturbed person. He is clearly in need of anger management and should be given his pension as soon as possible. Until then, he will have to remain on the job.
Ward Churchill offers no solution. Instead, he engages in name-calling of the victims of capitalism, including this horrifying attack by the Bush Administration on the workers at the World Trade Center, and in so doing, supports Bush's Big Lie that some outside force attacked the US on 9/11/01 when it was clearly an inside job.

Hofer is by far in the minority. The vast majority of scholars concede that Marinus van der Lubbe set the fire. As far as arguing that Dutch Council Communists had "little to gain", I agree, but that has never stopped extemists in the past, or present, from doing stupid things that are against their interest...

This pioneer South of Market joint is the creation of ‘normal’ Norman Hobday, better known to generations of San Franciscans as Corporal Henry Africa, a bar where singles crushed together for many years in a celebration of Tiffany lamps, oriental rugs, premium drinks in the smoothest, most sophisticated ‘action’ bar to hit this City since the gold rush. Henry Africa’s is where Harry Denton, Kevin Sullivan and a host of Dartmouth Grads cut their teeth in this City. After a lengthy and costly battle with his sibling who went on to open the Balboa, Norman opened Eddie Rickenbacker’s in the just awakening SOMA area, and it’s been a hit since then. It’s kind of like a grown up FAO Schwartz, with electric trains circling the large rectangular room hosing the bar and dining rooms. The ceiling is adorned with countless Tiffany Lamps, a bunch of historic motorcycles and memorabilia from wartime flying ‘ace’ Rickenbacker.

Yes - we should talk to the owner to judge his intentions. He could just feel like he is presenting a nonsanitized version of history, but he could also be presenting it callously. Sometimes people just haven't been informed - for instance, a number of schools have changed their slur-like mascot name.
The Reichstag was set on fire by the lone Marinus van der Lubbe, but the Nazis seized the opportunity to make up a vast communist conspiracy and treated the leaders of the Communist Party (Thälmann) and the Communist International (Dimitroff) just as the arsonist. After WWII, the Reichstag Fire became a cold war propaganda battle, in which the old West falsely purported the Communist Party plot version, and the old East falsely purported the Nazi Party plot version. But the fact of the matter is, there were other maverick attacks against the Nazis, such as the 1939 Munich beerhall bombing.
The German Nazis were all about NATIVIST SUPREMACISM, although a handful of them according to their own terms were not native Germans (Alfred Rosenberg).
