Know Your Rights!

Citizen Training in Observing Police and Asserting Your Rights

In a climate of racial profiling, government surveillance, pre-emptive arrests of protestors and daily acts of police misconduct in our neighborhoods, isn't it time to get clear on what you can do to protect yourself? This 3 hour training will give you practical suggestions for what to do when you are approached by police or when you are observing police activity. Topics include:

* What to do when you are approached by police
* How to observe police and what to watch out for
* What to do if you have been abused
* Tips for using video cameras and police scanners
