Sacramento Book Discussion of Historical Memoir

A free discussion of Red Dirt: Growing up Okie by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz will be held on Tues., March 29 at 7 p.m. in Room 19, Sierra 2 Center, 2791-24th St., Sacto.

The author uses her family’s history to grasp how they and others like them backed or countered elite policies. She focuses on class, gender and skin color.
