Chris Carlsson ("Processed World", "The Political Edge") publicy launches his new journal on contemporary forms of labor activism, 'Heads Up!". His presentation is illustrated by copious video clips of creative actions by the emerging class of part-time and "intellectual laborers"--the Cognitariat.
He is joined by Natasha Moss-Dedrick, with some local proposals. Opening the program are two cultural workers who have documented the signs of the resistance on the very streets on our cities: Chicago-based Josh MacPhee ("Stencil Pirates") narrates a 40-min.slide show of sidewalk art, whie Iggy Scam contributes a short overview of populist "wet-cement engravings". $5.
