Wingnut Nobel Prize Awarded in Berkeley Friday 3/11

Friday, March 11th is Slingshot's 17th birthday party at the Long Haul.

As part of it, we're going to award the first annual wingnut nobel prize for lifetime achievement--- stop by to find out what Bay Area radical receives this year's award (not even the recipient knows). The party is after the 12th birthday of Berkeley critical mass bike ride (the ride starts at 6 p.m. at Berkeley BART - nice weather for what is probably going to be a MASSIVE ride . . .)

The party starts at 8 p.m - cutting the cake for Slingshot at 8:30 and the award between 8:30 and 9. Free to the public.

In the spirit of Slingshot and Long Haul parties, there will be: food, dancing, music, a fabulous free raffle, door prizes, vegan chocolate cake, and wingnutty shenanigans.

The Long Haul is a radical community space at 3124 Shattuck, two blocks east of the Ashby BART station. The Slingshot collective publishes the radical paper of the same name as well as the annual Organizer pocket calendar.
