Eyes Wide Open Traveling Iraq War Memorial
Friday-Sunday, March 25th-27th
The Eyes Wide Open war casualties memorial which displays over 1,500 pairs of empty combat boots - tagged with the names of U.S. soldiers who died in the Iraq War - together with a field of shoes and a wall of names to memorialize the Iraqis killed will be coming to San Francisco starting at 11:00am on Friday, March 25th and 26th at the Civic Center and to Union Square on Sunday the 27. The memorial is a project of the American Friends Service Committee and is cosponsored in San Francisco by a host of groups including American Muslim Voice, Archdiocese of San Francisco, Military Families Speak Out and Veterans for Peace.
