The First Modern Islamic Art Exhibit
Saturday March 12th, 2005 at SBIA Downtown Center (325 N. Third Street, San
Jose, CA 95112)
Featuring Modern Islamic Calligraphy artworks, Inspirational futuristic
posters, traditional Calligraphic prints, hand etchings on candles, glass
and ceramics, and Modern Islamic Dinnerware designed by world renowned
Artists and Master Calligraphers!
Free Admission - Exhibit will be Open to the Public from 10:00am to 8:00pm
Main Program: 2:00pm to 4:00pm featuring
Spoken Word Poetry
Multimedia presentations about featured Islamic Art and history.
(Light Refreshments Will Be Served During the Main Program Only)
Over 75 unique pieces of Calligraphy will be available for sale on "First
come, First serve" basis.
An excellent oppourtunity for our younger generation to reflect on the
heritage of Islamic Art and calligraphy. Please bring your family, friends
and neighbors! All are Welcome. Pass the Word!
