Meeting Tomorrow for Anarchist Contingent on March 19th Global Day of Action
Organizing meeting for Anarchist Contingent during the March 19th Global Days of Action against Empire.
If you are interested in helping in the organization of an Anarchist Contingent on the Global Days of Action against Empire (March 19th-20th) please attend an organizing meeting to be held on Sunday Feb. 27th at the New College in San Francisco from 1-2:30 PM.
Our goal is to help organize a strong Anarchist presence which is open and inviting and not limited to any specific tactic. Furthermore we see this as part of a larger strategy of broadening our scope and direction as Anarchists within broader social movements, including but not limited to anti-war organizing.
Topics for discussion will include:
Anarchist Contingent during A.N.S.W.E.R rally and march.
Flyering and Leafletting.
Community Outreach.
Banner making.
When: Sunday February 27th from 1-2:30 PM.
Where: New College San Francisco. 777 Valencia St. Look for flyers indicating room location.
Who: Anarchist Action - we are an ad-hoc formation of several individuals and collectives from the Bay Area interested in developing and expanding anarchist organizing against war, empire, and capitalism.
THIS IS NOT A CALL OUT OR ORGANIZING EFFORT FOR A BREAKAWAY MARCH, BLACK BLOC, OR ANY OTHER SIMILIAR TACTICAL FORMATION. FOR OBVIOUS REASONS NO DISCUSSION ABOUT SUCH TOPICS WILL BE PART OF THE AGENDA FOR THIS MEETING.

Are there any descriptions anywhere of this day against Empire? A lot of people have been wondering where United for Peace and Justice, Not in Our Name, and ANSWER, as our leadership with too much sectarian influence, has gone in the wake of the most recent election.
I think it is great if something else replaces ANSWER, because it needs to happen. But while decentralized organizing in local cities is good, the national press is acting like antiwar resistance has gone away because they need big blatant stuff to notice that it's there.

As the leader of San Francisco ProtestWarrior, I would like to welcome these irrelevant, yet funny, people to the March 19th actions. Nobody is as easily upset as the masked ones in black. We think of them as a "special" kind of special.

As an anarchist participant in various breakaway marches, and various other anarchist lead actions in the bay area, I'd like to suggest that those under you in Protestwarrior fire you for being such a horrible organizer. Waiting until the left does things or holds events to engage in anything, letting black bloc kids steal your flags, having stupid signs that proclaim that because you are not in support of the policies of the Isreali state you are a nazi, etc.
