channel 2 KTVU had okay coverage and said there were no complications after the civic center.
Channel 7 showed a good 15 seconds of the bonfires at Justin Herman, and the police running in a circle wearing the black riot gear, and said there were no arrests. Channel 3 showed San Diego and Los Angeles protest helicopter shots, and interviewed some normal and one marginal looking San Francisco person. I don't think they showed the 8-9pm Justin Herman anarchists.
Channel 5 seems to be focused on DC itself, and where Bush is going to bring his freedom to. They are covering Code pink and have a pretty good image of lots of DC protest signs. They said only 2000 people were at Market street, and have interviews with normal looking protesters and they showed a big circle of what looks like a lot of people burning a government flag. Their pictures really make it look like more than 2000 at civic center. 300 in Santa cruz

The AP is reporting "thousands" in San Francisco, while I've heard reports of "hundreds" from other so-called news agencies.

Anyone who was there and who's a good judge of crowd size could tell you there was at least 10,000.
