On January 20, 2005, George W. Bush and Vice President Cheney will be inaugurated for a second term as President and Vice President of the United States. The 55th Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) organizes, plans, and executes most Inaugural celebration activities as well as works to select participants for the Inaugural parade and assign credentials to media covering the Inauguration and surrounding festivities. All Americans are invited to share in this historic celebration.Executive Committee
Mercer and Gabrielle Reynolds of Ohio, Co-Chairs of the Presidential Inaugural Committee. Ambassador Reynolds served as the National Finance Chairman of Bush-Cheney 2004. Ambassador Reynolds served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Switzerland, and as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Principality of Liechtenstein. Ambassador and Mrs. Reynolds served as Co-Chairs for the 2001 Presidential Inaugural Committee.
Bill and Kathy DeWitt of Ohio, Co-Chairs of the Presidential Inaugural Committee. Mr. DeWitt is the Co-Chairman of Reynolds, DeWitt and Company, a Cincinnati-based investment firm. Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt served as Co-Chairs for the 2001 Presidential Inaugural Committee.
Brad Freeman of California, Co-Chair of the Presidential Inaugural Committee. Mr. Freeman is a founding partner of Freeman Spogli & Co., a private investment firm with offices in Los Angeles and New York. Mr. Freeman served as Co-Chair for the 2001 Presidential Inaugural Committee.
Jeanne L. Phillips of Texas, Chairman of the Presidential Inaugural Committee. Ambassador Phillips served as the Representative of the United States of America to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. Ambassador Phillips served as Executive Director of the 2001 Presidential Inaugural Committee. Ambassador Phillips is a Texas businesswoman.
Greg Jenkins of Virginia, Executive Director of the Presidential Inaugural Committee. Mr. Jenkins has served as Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Presidential Advance for the past two years.

The Ellipse
Outdoor Event
4:00-6:00 p.m.This celebration will combine diverse musical artists, entertainers, American success stories, special effects and videos. The show will conclude with remarks by the Vice President and the President, followed by a grand finale musical performance and a fireworks display.
Non-ticketed general admission to the Celebration of Freedom will be available in the areas surrounding the Ellipse. Additionally, the fireworks will be easily viewable from the Mall and elsewhere in the Washington, D.C. area.
Oath of Office Ceremony

12:00 NoonPresident George W. Bush will be sworn in by U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist and deliver his second inaugural address on the west front of the U.S. Capitol. Speaker Dennis Hastert will administer the oath of office to Vice President Dick Cheney. Joining them will be their families, members of the Cabinet and Administration, members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, U.S. Supreme Court, Diplomatic Corps, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other invited guests.
The Reverend Dr. Luis Leon will deliver the invocation for the ceremony and Pastor Kribyjon Caldwell will deliver the benediction. Mezzo-Sopranos, Susan Graham and Denise Graves will perform during the program. Once the Presidential oath is taken, the military will render a 21-gun salute, the Army Herald Trumpets will play “Four Ruffles and Flourishes” and the U.S. Marine Band will play “Hail to the Chief.”
Non-ticketed general admission to the Oath of Office Ceremony will be available on the Mall beginning on 4th Street, S.W.
Presidential Inaugural Parade

Outdoor Event
2:00-4:30 p.m.Following the oath of office, the Inauguration Parade will escort the President from the Capitol to the White House. Military units, civilian bands, and representatives of all 50 states will march in the parade and viewing is open to the public all along the 1.7 mile route. The parade route starts at the intersection of Constitution and Pennsylvania Avenues and continues down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House.
Non-ticketed general admission to the Presidential Inaugural Parade will be available along Pennsylvania Avenue.
Due to large crowds and security procedures, please arrive early to all Inaugural events.
All Inaugural events will be wheelchair accessible.
