Making the Case for the Working Poor
We all know that it's expensive to live in the Bay Area and thousands of individuals and families are working and still struggling to make ends meet. This session will introduce useful tools to make the case to funders on why they should invest in your programs to support the working poor. United Way of the Bay Area and National Economic Development and Law Center will present The Bottom Line: Setting the Real Standard for Working Families and other reports about the working poor.

Data Central and InfoOakland will demonstrate online tools to access Bay Area-specific data, including demographics, community indicators, maps, and more. Speakers include: Carole Watson and Robyn Faraone, United Way of the Bay Area; Tarecq Amer and Aimee Durfee, National Economic Development and Law Center; Angela Fasudhani, Data Central; and Jeremy Hays, InfoOakland.

These events are free, but registration is required.
