Massive Captures of Mujahiddeen Families in Chechnya

Representative of the Military Committee of the Chechen Armed Forces informed “Kavkaz-Center” on the massive captures of the families of Chechen Mujahiddeen, who had died in combats against Russian occupiers. According to the Chechen side, on January 1, 2005, FSB units and Kadyrovґs gang organizations seized 12 families together with old men and little children in the settlement Avtoury, 4 families in Urus-Martan and 6 families in Jokhar.

It is not known where the hostages are kept. It is also unclear, what occupiers and Kadyrovґs gangs are going to do with children, women and old men.

In the meantime, murders and abductions are going on in other areas of Chechnya. According to the information of Chechen human rights protectors, on December 9, 2004 in Zavodskoi district of Jokhar, on the territory of the factory named after Lenin, anonymous armed persons in military uniform drove to one of condensate pits by two motorcars “VAS-21099” and “VAS-2121” and took two unknown man out of the cars.

Then, they shot these men point-blanc down, threw their bodies into the pit and drove away. In an hour and a half, the same unidentified criminals returned to the pit, where they had cast the bodies of the murdered men, and threw the pit down with grenades. After the grenades explosion the pit was partly covered with soil, and after that the armed persons left.

According to one eyewitness of this extrajudicial execution, who gave the following information, he himself together with the other eyewitnesses on December 27, 2004 had reported this fact to the local puppet militia in Zavodskoi district. However, on that day the pit was not uncovered and the bodies of the two murdered men were not lifted from it. Earlier, according to the eyewitness of this crime, the bodies of murdered people had been repeatedly taken out of pits.

On December 25, 2004 at 13.00 in Staropromyslovski district of Jokhar, on Prishvina Street, the armed persons, who drove up by 10 or 15 motorcars “VAS-21010” in grey colour without numberplates, burst into the house No 21 and kidnapped the head of the family – Bashir (aged 27-30) and his guest – the inhabitant of the town Argun – Mussa Moutoushev (aged 24-25).

The kidnapped men’s relatives say that the armed persons, who were speaking Chechen language, clobbered Bashir and Mussa with the machine guns butts until they lost their consciousness, and then took them away in the unknown direction, having pushed them into the carsґ luggage compartments. The kidnappers introduced themselves as the officers of Kadyrovs security service (“SB”). Till now, nothing is known about the kidnapped personsґ further fate.

On December 28, 2994, at 8 a.m. in the settlement Sadovoe (sovkhoz 60 anniversary of October) in Groznensko-selski region, armed persons in military uniform, arrived by several motorcars “Niva” and “VAZ-21099” in grey without numberplates, kidnapped two persons from their own house. The kidnapped persons are brothers: Zoubairaev Zelimkhan Khalidovich, born in 1957 and Zoubairaev Rizvan Khalidovich, born in 1968, who had resided at the address Koustanaiskaya Street, 3.

Furthermore, the relatives also let to know, that the unwelcome guests had stolen from the house the golden ware, belonging to the two Zubairaevs sisters, to the tune of more than 100 thousand roubles together with all the tele-video equipment.

Letter to “Kavkaz Center:

Assalam Alaikum!

Im a Muslim from England who has been visiting kavkazcenter news agency for a long time now. The Chechen-Russia conflicts has been one of the most brutal wars of our era. The horrors inflicted upon the brave Chechen people in the concentration camps , the molestation of our sisters , the virtual massacre of the male population , i could go on...

Yet while Muslims around the world are always condemning and speaking out (and rightly so) against the situation in Iraq , Palestine , Afghanistan etc. , little Chechnya seems to always be forgotten. Chechnya , where the Muslim population seem to be suffering more than any other conflict has been forgotten by the world.
