EASY RIDER
This film captures the increasingly violent Vietnam-era split between the counter-culture and the repressive Establishment. Hippie adventurers follow the attractions of dropping out as they travel across the country but they eventually hit a wall. This trailblazing film throws old-fashioned Hollywood polish and glamor to the winds in favor of documentary-style immediacy and enhances its casual feel with improvised dialogue and realistically “stoned” acting.
