Peaceful Protest to Save Coyotes

Date:
Friday, December 17, 2004
Time:
3:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Event Type:
Vigil/Ritual
Organizer/Author:
Lorna
Location Details:
Villas of Almaden complex--corner of Coleman & Meridian. Meet at main gate located on Meridian. SAN JOSE

Please join us for a peaceful protest & candlight vigil to bring attention to the current trapping and extermination of the coyotes living in The Villas of Almaden. Despite continued offers from several wildlife advocacy groups to assist the Homeowners Association in non-lethal dispersal of coyotes, The Villas HOA is still extremely resistant to anything but killing. They have now hired a private trapper who is CURRENTLY attempting to KILL this entire family pack of coyotes. Coyotes were trapped in The Villas 2 years ago, and if these are trapped too, more will just move in again...a vicious, awful cycle!

A couple hours of your time may be the last chance to save these coyotes...please try to be there as the most amount of people will have the greatest impact. Public pressure is our last resort! We would like to notify both the public driving by and Villas residents who may not know about the cruel and unneccessary trapping their own HOA has sanctioned.

Date: Friday, 12/17/04
Time: 3:30-6pm (Candlelight vigil begins at dusk)
Location: Villas of Almaden complex--corner of Coleman & Meridian. Meet at main gate located on Meridian.

Please come at ANY time during this period, the coyotes need you! Please be their voice--they cannot speak for themselves.
Candles & posters will be provided if you do not bring your own.
