Sarah Weddington was the attorney who successfully argued Roe v.
Wade, the Supreme Court case that legally recognized a woman's right
to choose. Though this case represented a tremendous victory for the
pro-choice movement, she never stopped fighting to protect women's
rights. Her commitment to women's rights has led her to continue to
fight against constant threats to the right to choose.

Margaret Sanger helped develop the contraception movement, but was
past 80 before she witnessed the courts protect reproductive freedom.
It was only a year before her death that Griswold v. Connecticut
struck down a Connecticut law barring married couples from using
contraception. The Supreme Court officially recognized the right of
unmarried couples to use contraception a few years after her death.

These and many other women never surrendered, and neither can
