In this first feature film by local director Joauin Alvarado a chicano filmmaker learns first hand the perils migrants face crossing the U.S. Mexico border when he goes on assignment to invistige a recent rash of killings in the desert along the border. When he and his cinematographer join a group crossing the desert illegally, they must survive the harsh terrain and vigilante violence to document the truth. Director will be available to talk about the film.
