KPFA Missing Ballot Scandal

by Subscriber
As if the national election fraud scandal were not enough, we have a case of many missing ballots in the election of KPFA's Local Station Board that makes one wonder if it is a computer failure or a political program.
As if the national election fraud scandal were not enough, we have a case of many missing ballots in the election of KPFA's Local Station Board that makes one wonder if it is a computer failure or a political program.

For three days now, those of us with no ballots have been calling KPFA's missing ballot line, 877.217.6928 Ext 205, to demand a replacement ballot. The instructions are that the ballot will be mailed within 2 days. It only takes overnight to go from Berkeley to anywhere in the Bay Area via first class mail. There was no problem last year, so how come there is a problem this year?

By now, the 30,000 or so subscribers, plus the thousands more within Northern California, home to 11 million people, who also listen to KPFA, know there is a struggle for democratic control occurring at KPFA, causing a group of candidates for the LSB to run as a slate.

There was no problem last year; why this year? If we have to call again, everyone should demand the deadline of Nov. 29 be extended until we all have our ballots.

As to the Chicken Little syndrome of there never being enough time, there is always time for democracy. This society is very preoccupied with rushing to get things done, and as we all know, this society is declining very fast because in fact, nothing worthwhile is getting done.

If anyone else has any idea as to what is going on with KPFA's election and if they actually mailed replacement ballots this week, please tell us all.
