Come join the Sunday soiree--a party and booksigning for Doug Dowd, \"the people\'s economist.\" Doug\'s new book, The Failure of \"America\": An encyclopedia for our times (in 2 volumes, Common Courage Press), examines what\'s wrong with this country--past, present, and whether there will be a future. The introduction is by Howard Zinn.
Meet Doug before he goes back to Italy next week (to teach at the University of Modena.) The event is at the Fellowship Hall, around the corner from the Peninsula Peace and Justice Center, 457 Kingsley Ave, Palo Alto, starting at 3 p.m.
