… The day will come when the politicians do the right thing for our people out of political necessity…”
-César E. Chávez

The Time Has Come- For Us to Make that Day a Reality! Join Us And Take Action For:

AIR QUALITY- Asthma is one of the leading reasons for school absences and emergency room visits

PEDESTRIAN SAFETY- Our children & the disabled deserve safe routes to get home safely.

NEIGHBORHOOD MAINTENANCE- All neighborhoods should have the basic necessities (streetlights, well-paved streets, storm drainage, etc.) that most take for granted.

MEASURE C- Any extension of this sales tax has to devote more funds, throughout the County, to public transportation, neighborhood maintenance and pedestrian safety.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION- Our brothers and sisters without cars need bus service that does not hinder, but helps, their efforts at building a better life. The more people use public transportation, the more cars get left home- this is better for our air!

We expect to gain specific commitments, from both candidates, concerning each of the five issues and move the Community’s platform forward.

Forum Presented By: St. Anthony Mary Claret Local Organizing Committee (LOC), FACT (Fresno Area Congregations Together), La Union del Pueblo Entero (LUPE), Sierra Club- Tehipite Chapter, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Advisory Committee and Community Alliance.
