"Peaceable Kingdom", a 70-minute documentary produced by award-winning filmmakers James LaVeck and Jenny Stein ( "The Witness"), will be showing at San Francisco's Red Vic Movie House on Haight Street, for six showings on the 22nd and 23rd of August.
"It's like Fahrenheith 9/11 meets Babe"
At a time when factory farming is in the headlines for putting the environment and public health at risk, Peaceable Kingdom takes its audience on an eye-opening journey to the heart of this unfolding national drama.
Propelled by the testimony of farmers who have themselves come to question the fundamental assumptions behind their community\'s way of life, the film delivers a riveting portrait of human and animal lives caught up in an out of control industrial machine.
Much more than an exposé, Peaceable Kingdom is about personal redemption, commitment, healing and hope, offering a life-changing vision of a peaceful world that is well within our reach.
Jane Goodall says, "Peaceable Kingdom is a masterpeice. I hope it inspires growing numbers of people to support this desperately important cause."
