"The End of Suburbia:Oil Depletion and the Collapse of the Amercian Dream"- With brutal honesty and a touch of irony, The End of Suburbia explores the Amercian Way of Life as the planet approaches a critical era. With oil prices at a 25 year high, and the prices of gasoline and food on the rise, this film is particularly timely. Questions and answers following the film by Richard Heinberg, author of Powerdown: Options and Alternatives for a Post Carbon World and David Room, Post Carbon Inistitute. There will be a brief presentation about Post Carbon Oakland, a community group beginning to prepare for a Post Carbon Age. Co-sponsored by Post Carbon Oakland and Amalgamated Transit Union (Bart Transportation Workers). We recommed arriving early; seating is limited.
