Raza Against War, is organizing a major mobilization to take place on Saturday, August 28, 2004. We are calling on people throughout the (Fresno) community who share our desire for peace to support us. We are reaching out to the Mexicano-Latino and African-American community in particular, for we have sacrificed generations of our youth in wars of conquest, yet faced racism and injustice at home. We are planning the "Marcha por la Paz y por los Ninos" to take place on this date due to its historical significance, when thousands of our people protested the Vietnam War.

Planning meetings are being held every Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. at Centro Monsenor Romero, 2831 Mariposa, across from St. John's Cathedral. For information, call 908-6701 or e-mail enmascarao@yahoo.com
