Speaking Out Against Empire and Imprisonment
Date: Saturday, July 17th, 6-9pm
Location: 522 Valencia St. in San Francisco- 3rd floor (Near 16th St. BART)
Join us for a desperately needed peoples' perspective and community discussion linking the U.S. led war on the People of Iraq, Palestine, and the Philippines and how the genocide and massive imprisonment in these countries is linked directly to the mass incarceration of communities of color in the U.S.
Featuring panelists:
Rachel Herzing - Critical Resistance
Rayan Elamine - Local Arab American Activist
Kawal Ulanday - Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines
As Bush's War rages on in the Middle East, around the globe and against the people right here in the U.S., we have a responsibility to connect our resistance to U.S. sponsored oppression in our own communities with our opposition to U.S. war and oppression around the world, so that we can further our solidarity and build a stronger anti-imperialist movement.
Join our discussion as we build international solidarity against the number one enemy of all peoples seeking liberation and lasting peace free from occupation and unjust imprisonment.
From the Bay to the Middle East! We must Unite against the Beast!
Sponsored by: Global Intifada, Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines, Critical Resistance
