BIG OUTREACH PUSH to Bay Area communities
Join teams to leaflet and hang up posters. Get outside, organize against the war, and have fun doing it! Meet at 11 am in San Francisco at the ANSWER office at 2489 Mission St.#24 or between 11 and 11:45 am at Macarthur BART in Oakland.
Michael Berg, the father of Nicholas Berg who was killed in Iraq, will be a speaker at the June 5th mass demonstration in Washington, DC. The June 5 rallies in Washington, DC, San Francisco, and Los Angeles will reflect the grassroots voices of those who are fighting against the U.S. war in Iraq, Palestine, Haiti, Afghanistan, Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, the Philippines, Korea and right here against working and poor people in the United States. The stakes are high and the June 5 mobilizations will open the next stage in the anti-war movement.
The Bush administration is pushing forward with assaults on civil liberties and, like leading Democrats, promising a widened occupation with more troops sent to Iraq. That means more racist war and deaths and continuing lethal budget cuts to education, healthcare, and housing. The people mobilized can stop the war. We must do all we can to oppose the US slaughter and torture of the Iraqi people and re-colonization of the region. ALL OUT FOR JUNE 5!!!
