Saturday May 29th 2004. Art is Permitted Everywhere is hosting a public anti war open poetry reading on exile to tribute the late and great poet Ana Ackmatova. The theme will be exile-exile from your you body, your lover, your government, your country...Ana Ackmatova was thrown out of her native Russia for "subversive" political activities. This reading will be a gathering of poets, activists, people who want to read pieces of writing on exile and peace. Join us for high tea and verse. Washington Park, North Beach Saturday may 29th 2-4pm. Readers invited to read Acmatova's work or work they have composed. Political Poetry Encouraged. Interested readers contact: ljsmimosa@yahoo.com.
