California's benfits to injuried workers, even with a 3.5 billion boost in payments enacted last year are among the lowest in the nation. However the program cost to employers are among the highest in the nation, and rising with lighting speed. How has the media covered this topic? How are the Democrats diffrent from the Republicans in addressing this issue? Steve Zeltzer, long time labor/community activist, will lead discussion based on research he's done on workers comp. He'll be joined by Sam Gold, the director of the Injuried Workers' Coaltion, and Jerome Otis, I.B.T. Local 70 and chairman of the northern California Teamsters Black Caucus. Together, well cut through the lies and find out what we can do before it's too late.
