The journey from invisiblity to empowerment - it's hard, often illusive, path for young people in today's society. But for the 14 fierce females of the acclaimed Destiny Arts Youth Performance Company, their personal journeys come to the stage as they grapple with issues of idenity, racism, sexism, body image, and other challenges in the company's latest original production INsight. The young performers, ages 13-18, tell their own stories in a high energy production that includes spoken word and poetry, theatre, hip-hop, modern and aerial dance, and martial arts, all woven together with the hilarious radio personalities from radio D-E-S-T-I-N-Y, the conscious station on mission to bring the invisible into sight.

The Destiny Arts Youth Performance Company is a dynamic artistic collective of young people who creatively address challenging personal and social issues that impact and raise consciousness. Their self-conceived productions are a trademark combination of diverse movement styles (including Hip Hop, African, Modern Jazz, Aerial dance, and martial arts), theater, spoken word, song, and live music. The Company brings their inspirational performances to notable events throughout the Bay Area.
