US Supreme Court Hears Arguments Regarding Enemy Combatants and Law Free Zones

Three dozen people attended a noontime press conference today at the San Francisco Federal Building in solidarity with a similar event earlier in the day in front of the US Supreme Court. A dozen speakers representing as many local and national progressive organizations spoke out against the government’s actions that have eliminated due process for individuals based entirely on the government’s declaration of them as “enemy combatants.”
