++++++++++++++++++++++HOW YOU CAN HELP+++++++++++++++++
Alert others to these events - help spread the word. This time of
war, occupation, media consolidation and elections has created an
all-too-rare opening when people are hungry for alternatives to the
corporate media. An independent media is only as strong as the
engaged public that supports it. Check out the flyers that our
talented volunteer graphic designers have provided for each event.
Just cut and paste the events listed above into an email and
circulate it to people you know, local groups and any appropriate
listserves. You can also go to http://www.democracynow.org/book
choose an event, then click on email to a friend and add as many
addresses as you wish.
Download a flyer for your area from http://www.democracynow.org/book
and hand it out or post it around town.
Ask community groups you know to put these calendar listings in
their print or email newsletters or post them on their websites.
(Please email us at community [at] democracynow.org and tell us if any
groups you have contacted are doing so.)
Send us ideas (pressideas [at] democracynow.org) of any local press,
broadcast or print, who we should contact to help publicize these
events. Tell us if they have a listings column or you think they
might want to do a feature article/segment on independent media and
Amy Goodman.
Help at the event - At the events, we need volunteers to help with
sign-up sheets and flyers. If you can help, please email us at
volunteer [at] democracynow.org. Please put the name of your town and
state in the subject line.

++++++++++++++++++++++HOW YOU CAN HELP+++++++++++++++++
