Dear Friends,
For more man twenty years, people of faith and others concerned about nuclear weapons have gathered on Good Friday for prayer and witness outside the Livermore Nuclear Weapons Laboratory. We will come in this time of war, the massive assaults on the people of Iraq and Haiti and the threat of war against other peoples around the world. We will share and express our grief and our determination to stop the pattern of war and occupation.
Please join us on Good Friday, April 9, at the corner of Vasco Road and Patterson Pass Road. We will gamer at 6:45 a.m. for a service at 7:00, followed by a procession to the gates and the opportunity for nonviolent civil disobedience.
Mary O\'Donnell will be our principal speaker, as we dedicate ourselves to continue the work for justice and peace in which her brother, Father Bill, led us for many years.
Following the action, there will be a community garnering from 10 a.m. to noon at 5720 East Avenue, Livermore. Here we will share information on a variety of issues. Light refreshments will be provided.
