When pigs attack

by mark
SFPD mistakes a video camera for a fajita -- some shaky video from March 20th in San Francisco.
Copy the code below to embed this movie into a web page:
March 20, 2004: As police arrested three antiwar protesters (breaking one protester's arm in the process) on Market street, a motorcycle tipped over and one riot cop decided to pin it on an IMC videographer -- rushing the reporter, slamming him face first onto the pavement and bashing his camera on the ground (breaking it). Then they bent the reporter's thumb back until it broke. Although police eventually figured out the reporter hadn't knocked over the motorcycle, they arrested him anyway and charged him with "interfering with an arrest" (it wouldn't look good to give someone a nice bump on the head and then just let him go..). Brian from SF Food Not Bombs, one of the protesters arrested at Market and Taylor, was charged with felony "lynching".

If anyone has photo/video evidence of this or other instances of police brutality on 20 March 2004 please contact mark [at] indymedia.org and/or the National Lawyers Guild (415-285-1011). In particular we need to identify the particular officers involved. Any documentation gathered could be of use in defending against criminal charges and/or any civil suits.

The events that led up to dude getting his arm broke happened right in front of me and my daughter. The cop was completely out of pocket. Anyone interested in our testimony feel free to email me.

this video shows absolutely no evidence of the cop doing anything wrong...all you hear is the indybay guy crying that he didn't do it....yeah right.

My daughter arm was Broken by three Marion County Sheriff Deputies of Indianapolis , Indiana .

She was in a group home for mentally challegened women and gave the officers a good tounge lashing so they broke her arm and took her to jail .

She was not the reason they were called to the home the state refused to prosecute her and the Justice Department is investigating.

The complaint process begins at

Her arm was broken so severe that it had to have two metal plates put in to repair damage .
