"WHO OWNS OUR MEDIA? BREAKING THE MEDIA 'BLOCKADE'?
Join Henry Kroll in an examination of media control and how to break their monopoly.
Do you know who and what makes all those "news" broadcasts sound alike and tout the same story? Henry Kroll, former KQED "Newsroom" host, will report on the recent National Media Reform Conference in Madison Wisconsin where Congressional leaders, journalists, academics and activists examined the changes needed to break the media monopoly.
Join Kroll as he recounts his long knowledge of the broadcasting industry, where it's been, and the influences that are molding its present conformity. He will also report on the upcoming meeting of the Federal Communications Commission at Monterey, called in response to outcry about media consolidation.
