A Walk for Remembrance and Peace
The Islamic Cultural Center of Northern California, American Muslims Intent on Learning and Activism, and other peace groups sponsor a walk from The Pillars at Oakland’s Lake Merritt to the Islamic Cultural Center for lively cultural program of performances, speakers, artisans and food.
Sept. 10, 7 PM Candlelight Peace Vigil and Peace Lantern Ceremony
Peoples NonViolent Response Coalition and other East Bay peace groups will gather at The Pillars At Oakland’s Lake Merritt to make peace lanterns and join in a walk around the lake in memory of the victims of Sept. 11 and for all victims of the ongoing cycle of violence.
