The Bay Area Socialist Party Local believes in democratic socialism. We strive to establish a radical democracy where people's lives are under their own control. Where people own the means of production, resources are equally distributed, full employment is there for all who want to work, and where the production of society is used for the benefit of all humanity, not private profit of a few.
We intend show that socialism creates a common humanity and allow others to understand what that truly means through our community actions of solidarity and support. Socialism was historically embraced by white working class men. Sharing in the benefits of a democratic socialist society by all: those who are oppressed, those in the minority, and all those in between, leads to a more just vision of society. We must raise others consiciousness and bring into the progressive movement the oppressed a capitalist society affects so readily. The Socialist movement has got to capture the exploited lower class as well as middle class and allow them the opportunity to be involved in fighting for a fair and just society together for us all.
Come join us in community activist planning and actitivies!
