This slideshow, covering the history of patriarchal attitudes towards women and nonhuman animals, will be presented by Marti Kheel of Feminists for Animal Rights. The show highlights the parallels between the objectification, exploitation, and abuse of women and nonhuman animals in contemporary society, from their use in pornographic media to the animal testing and slaughterhouse industries.
