After 12 years the lwasuit brought by Judi Bari and others against the FBI and the Oakland Police for civil rights violations growing our of a 1990 car bombing is set for trial April 8th in Oakland Federal Court. During the trial which will last 6-8 weeks a series of events are scheduled to keep people informed and to rally support. April 18th the Bay Area Industrial Workers of the World present Wobblies on trial: the roots of government repression. A look back at government attacks on the IWW during a period of war hysteria and anti labor attacks in 1917-18.
The program features well known IWW folksinger Faith Petric and outspoken word troupe Molotov Mouths. +an update on the trial and a disscussion of IWW history during a previous war.
$5-15 but no one turned away for lack of funds.
