Come hear Keynote Speaker and award-winning journalist Amy Goodman of Democracy Now, and honor Congressmember Barbara Lee (D-Oakland) at a reception, 5-8 p.m., with Larry Bensky of KPFA. From 1-5 p.m., panelists will discuss the movements and Meiklejohn's role in them, from the Free Speech Movement and Civil Rights, to Women's Rights and Affirmative Action, to Gay Rights and Anti-Nuclear, to Energy and Global Peace....The event also will celebrate as the descriptions of Meiklejohn's 11,000 unique human rights cases -- recently donated to the UC-Bancroft Library -- go online for the world! Dancing and entertainment will follow 8-10 p.m. Admission is on a sliding scale, $5-$25. For more information, call (510) 848-0599, mcli@igc.org.
