The Bay Area Socialist Party Local believes in democratic socialism. We strive to establish a radical democracy where people’s lives are under their own control. Where people own the means of production, resources are equally distributed, full employment is there for all who want to work, and where the production of society is used for the benefit of all humanity, not private profit of a few.
We intend to put a human face on socialism and allow others to understand what it truly means through our community actions of solidarity and support. Socialism to working class people is better pay and less hours, not a replacement of the economic system or complete economic justice…. we must get more of the people capitalism is affecting to fight with us. Educated mostly white people realize what Socialism can do. We must educate and bring in the oppressed it affects so readily. The essential aims of Socialism are justice and liberty. The Socialist movement has got to capture the exploited lower class as well as middle class and allow them the opportunity to be involved in fighting for a fair and just society.
